Age: 37
Gender: Male
Where did you attend school?
I spent my
freshman year at Cadillac High School. I moved to Elkart and
graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School in Elkhart, Indiana in
1993. In 1997, I received my Bachelor's Degree from Ball State
University (GO CARDS!).
You
have kids right?
Yes indeed. I have 3
daughters. Abigail, Emily and Anna. They are each 17 months
apart from each other in age.
I seem to remember you having a twin
brother, is that true?
Yes, I have an identical twin
brother. To respect his privacy (which he holds very sacred), his
name will not be given here or in any other locations affiliated with
me. He is 6 minutes older than I am. As of Dec. 2007, he
is a contributor to matt.maskill.com
I also heard somewhere you were possibly writing
a book?
Yes. The book should be
completed by the end of this year. More information will be listed
at matt.maskill.com as time goes on.
For other writing, check the main page of
matt.maskill.com.
UPDATE! The book is
finished. Next step, getting it published. Another book is in
the works. A book about...cheap beer.
What
else do you do for fun?
I have taken up fishing in the
past couple of years and have fallen in love with the sport. In the
summertime, I love to spend my time camping. Camping has become a
family tradition for us and we seem to have more and more fun every
year. I am also a farily active runner (you may have seen me in some
local races.) In 2006, I elected not to compete competively due to a
series of nagging injuries (broken pinky toe, among other things.) I
will be picking it back up this winter and competing in 2008.
Other favorite activities
include writing, playing and composing music on the piano, and I am a
pretty big video game enthusiast. I am learning to program in Python
and I also have a little Visual Basic experience.
When it comes time to sit
down and relax, I love watching Arena Football (Grand Rapids Rampage) as
well as the NFL ( Detroit Lions.) I am also a HUGE fan of The Price
is Right.
Speaking of The Price is Right, haven't you said
you would like to be the next Johnny Olsen?
That statement is kind of
true. Although I admire the late Johnny Olsen (no one brought the
"come on down!" like he could!), I actually would like to be the next Bob
Barker/Drew Carey. When its time for Drew to step down, it is my
dream to land the audition and host the greatest game show host in
history.
What is
your favorite song right this minute?
I am particularly fond of "Apple
Candy" by Ben Lee.
I saw something about the Pac-Man Pancake.
Is that story true?
Yes. Click the link on the
left.
Why does
this page look like this?
That answer is simple really.
I COULD make this page with all the latest good stuff, but I
preferred the internet when it was in its infacy. A simpler time
really. This is a throwback, or a dedication to those times.
So, to answer the question, it is intentionally made this
way.
Really?

Yes.
Really.
Where do you get the inspiration for What If
Matt...?
Most of it comes from seeing random images on the
internet. Sometimes people tell me what to put on there. I
look for things that are familiar and a little out of date. This
makes for a funnier picture.
